Upcoming Event: World Naked Bike Ride 2007

Seattle hosts one part of the yearly World Naked Bike Ride. I've missed it every year that I have been here, although I have seen some rather scary video from last year. :)

This year, I am going to make an appearance in some form or another. Being naked in public here in WA is not illegal (apparently, I only took a few law classes). I do not know if it will be to cheer or to ride (*gasp*) or just laugh at the shocked pedestrians/drivers - but I will be there. I can say that it seems considered to be in poor taste to do obvious photography of people's naughty bits (according to the site I accessed), so if I am there for photography purposes, it'll not be to train my 300mm zoom onto genitalia. (A bit unlike the naked bikers in the Fremont Solstice Fair parade, who appear to expect and get lots of photography similar to that).

For the shy, they have body paint tents set up. Here's more (safe for work/ no photos) info. This one has sign up info and nudie pics (don't ask me how this related to the frowned upon nudie pics semi-policy) so is NOT so safe for work.

So, it looks like I get to yell at a bar TV for yet another Gators championship game - this time basketball, tonight. And against the Buckeyes again! WTF is a "buckeye" anyway? Okay, so I know, but it is a seriously bad mascot.

Ironically, if I do go, I'll be blowing off my homework to see the game. I'm one week away from leaving for final exams, which I haven't studied for, and I still need to write my paper on Crime Scene photog and finish up a diminishing pile of hw. Maybe I can bring my laptop...
